The Church

Meet the Apostle.

Dr. Brian S. Edghill

Background

At the age of 16 after attending a Morris Cerullo crusade in Barbados, Apostle Dr. Brian S. Edghill gave his life to Jesus Christ. Shortly after his conversion, the Lord called him to the ministry. At 18 years old he was employed by Deliverance Youth Center (a missionary arm of World Wide Missions) and dispatched to Antigua a year later. After two years of missionary work in Antigua, Apostle Edghill departed for Caribbean Wesleyan College in Barbados to formally prepare himself for the ministry. In 1981 he graduated with a Diploma in Christian Theology. His wife, Pastor Emily, whom he met during his time in Antigua, also holds a Diploma in Theology from Caribbean Wesleyan College. They were married in 1980 and have been blessed with three wonderful sons: Brently, Dwayne and Romarlo.

Ministry Experience

Upon his return to Antigua, Apostle Edghill served as a Pastor-Evangelist in the Wesleyan Holiness Church for nine years and travelled frequently across the Caribbean preaching the Gospel to Wesleyan Holiness congregations. Those trips took him to countries including Jamaica, Barbados, Curacao, St Maarten, Saba, St Kitts and Nevis, Montserrat, St. Croix and St. Thomas. Upon submitting himself to God, God revolutionized his life by the power of the Holy Ghost and subsequently changed his ministry from that of a Pastor-Evangelist to that of a Prophet-Teacher. Thereafter, God began to use him mightily in prophetic ministry including the casting out devils, healings and getting the saints filled with the Holy Ghost. As a result of his spiritual reformation, he was excommunicated from the Wesleyan Church, along with three other pastors, for teaching that speaking with tongues is the evidence of the Baptism with the Holy Ghost. After his excommunication, he, along with the three other pastors started Faith and Power Ministries that same year.

In 1992, the Lord instructed him to resign from Faith and Power Ministries and commit it into the hands of the other pastors who were with him. He obeyed God, resigned. Thereafter, the Lord directed him and his wife to start a new church, Joshua Christian Center. In obedience to God, they did it.

One night in the year 2000, the Lord gave Apostle Edghill a vision, showing him that he was going to take him out of Antigua to an American destination and that he would minister between Antigua and that place for a while but would eventually remain in that place. The next morning, he received a message from Apostle Dr. Allan Isaac informing him to call Pastor Edward Magras in St. Thomas USVI, because Pastor Magras had asked him about finding someone to assist him with the work at Frenchtown Evangelistic Assembly and he had recommended Apostle Edghill to him.

Apostle Edghill came to Frenchtown Evangelistic Assembly for the first time on October 5, 2000. Thereafter, he came to assist Pastor Magras at least once every month while still pastoring in Antigua. During this period he had an encounter with the Lord at which point the Lord changed his ministry from Prophet-Teacher to that of Apostle. On July 13, 2005, Apostle Edghill received his ordination credentials as an apostle from Zion International Ministries – The Apostolic Association of Churches, Ministries and Leaders (AACML). Working between St. Thomas and Antigua continued until 2010 when Pastor Magras impressed upon Apostle Edghill the need to migrate to St. Thomas and be his assistant pastor in preparation for his retirement. on April 8, 2010, Apostle Edghill answered the call, resigned from his church in Antigua and migrated to St. Thomas. Shortly thereafter, he was installed as the assistant pastor of Frenchtown Evangelistic Assembly. On October 31, 2012, Pastor Magras retired from the pastorate and Apostle Edghill was installed as Senior Pastor of the church.
